As a Spectator: Intense thrills and spills as Cowboys, Cowgirls clash with fierce, rank, dominating animal athletes to showcase each of their talents and amaze the fans through a full performance of Rodeo!

As a Contestant: Challenge one’s self in one or more Rodeo Event Disciplines and blaze the way to Championship Stardom and Financial Reward

As a Sponsor: Promote products and services to and enhance brand image with a mix of Urban and Rural potential customers, collectively forming a niche that is proven to adapt Rodeo Sponsors in their daily buying habits

As a Rodeo Committee: Offer the surrounding community an opportunity to unite and engage in a local festival-like atmosphere.  Rodeos are turnkey opportunities to raise funds for charities or charitable events, injecting the surrounding community with over 250 Cowboys and Cowgirls and their fan base

Ontario Rodeo Association.

The Ontario Rodeo Association (O.R.A.) was formed in 1957 at the Bar 11 Ranch, just outside Dundas, Ontario.
It was formed to promote rodeo in Ontario and produce a standard set of rules to be followed by the rodeo cowboys and producers as well as a set of rules to protect the stock used in rodeos from inhumane treatment.

The ORA works with the Roping Association of Ontario and the Ontario High School Rodeo Association, creating a natural progression for the athletes climbing the ranks. Currently, the seven standard events are Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Tie-down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, and Ladies Barrel Racing. Optional events include Breakaway Roping, Junior Steer Riding, and Junior Barrels.

Since Rodeo in Ontario’s inauguration, Municipalities and Communities in the Province have seen a large growth spurt.  At one point in the 1980’s, there were less than 10 Rodeos.  Here in the new millennium, upwards of almost 30 different communities have had a rodeo hosted by a committee during a season.
